Appleton Sesquicentennial The Library is a source of community information and a place where people from all segments of the community can come together. In addition to providing programs and exhibits which bring people together at the library, we provide links to other local resources. The Library collects and provides significant local information, both current and historic.
  • Fox Cities Online (FOCOL) is a community network for the greater Fox Valley region, including Appleton, Neenah, Menasha, Oshkosh, Kaukauna, Kimberly, Little Chute, and surrounding areas. It includes links to schools, libraries, businesses, organizations, clubs, churches, radio and television stations, and lots more.

    Search FOCOL:

  • City of Appleton web site includes information about city elected officials, links to the Appleton Police Department, the City Clerk's office, Valley Transit routes and schedules, the online version of the City's Applesource newsletter, and more.

  • Fox Valley Memory is a collaborative project bringing local history resources to the web. The Fox Valley Memory web site includes the full-text of Ryan's History of Outagamie County and a collection of over 400 historic photographs.
  • Key Community Information Providers is a list of web sites specifically designed to disseminate community information.
  • Local Services Directory provides a searchable index indicating who to call for which city of Appleton service.
  • Information and Referral of the Fox Valley is a program designed to link people with questions or problems to the agency or organization best able to provide the needed assistance.
  • Local History Index contains original publications about the history of Appleton and links to online resources about the region. The library also maintains an online index to The Post-Crescent newspaper.
  • Community Profiles provides links to demographic and economic statistics about Appleton, the Fox Cities, and the State of Wisconsin
