1:1 Device & eLibrary Help

Request a free, 45-minute one-on-one computer help session from a librarian.

Computer & Device Help

We offer help with Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint, email, internet (including getting started with Gale Courses), intro to your iPad, smart phone, or tablet -- even using the Scanner-Readers to view microfilm.

We cannot help troubleshoot problems you are experiencing with your computer or fix hardware issues, provide help with QuickBooks, teach typing, or instruct you on marketing for your business or hobby.

eLibrary Help

We offer help with the library's download and/or streaming services.

  1. Be very specific when describing what you need help with so staff can prepare for your session.
  2. You will be contacted by one of our librarians, typically within 7 business week days, to set up a date and time to meet.
  3. Your 45-minute session usually will be in Study Room A or The Lab, located on the library's upper level.

We may not be able to accommodate all requests for this service. Patrons will be contacted to set up a mutually agreeable time, subject to topic and availability of a study room, equipment, and staff.

Email OR phone -- submit whichever you prefer we use to contact you. If you enter both, we will *only* use email.
Please list all laptops, tablets, or phones you will bring, including specific operating systems and models (for example, Kindle Fire, not just "Kindle"). NOOK & Kindle owners, please see sidebar for Overdrive non-compatibility note.
* rbDigital Audiobook users: please contact yoursupport@recordedbooks.com directly if titles don't download/open.
* We no longer can offer support for Overdrive users who are still on the Media Console or are using Adobe Digital Editions on an eReader device. If your device is compatible with Overdrive's Libby app we can try to assist you. For more information on our downloadable/streaming services, go to www.apl.org/downloads.
