2017 Fox Cities Book Festival

The 2017 Fox Cities Book Festival kicks off Monday, October 9 with events all over the community. This year's festival offers over 40 authors from all genres. We are excited to host 11 events this year. Books will be available for sale and signing at every event. See our full schedule below:

Jean Long Manteufel
Monday, October 9 | 4:00 pm
Jean Long Manteufel will present her book; Transitions: Stories of How to Help Mom and Dad with Their Stuff.

Elizabeth Rynecki 
Monday, October 9 | 6:30 pm 
Elizabeth Rynecki will present Chasing Portraits, a documentary film and book about a woman's emotional quest to find the art of her Polish-Jewish great-grandfather, lost during WWII. 

Ann Marie Ackermann
Tuesday, October 10 | 3:00 pm 
Ann Marie Ackermann will present her book; Death of an Assassain: The True Story of the German Murderer Who Died Defending Robert E. Lee

Duachaka Her
Tuesday, October 10 | 6:30 pm 
Duachaka Her will share the inspiration and making behind her book Then and Now; a comic about a girl's desire to escape her ordinary farm life and the years that follow.

Jerald Podair
Tuesday, October 10 | 6:30 pm 
Lawrence University professor Jerald Podair will present his book; City of Dreams: Dodger Stadium and the Birth of Modern Los Angeles

Peter and Connie Roop
Saturday, October 14 | 10:00 am 
Peter and Connie Roop will talk about how authors get their ideas for stories and the process they use to write a book. They will also provide a dramatic reading of Keep the Lights Burning, Abbie.

Patricia Skalka
