Did You Know: Music

Appleton Public Library hosts Music @ the Library concerts twice a month throughout the year! Many of our musicians belong to the Green Apple Folk Music Society. Green Apple will celebrate their 30th anniversary with a free all day party featuring past opening acts at Mosquito Hill Nature Center, N3880 Rogers Road, New London, on Saturday, September 22nd starting at 1:00 pm. There will be an open stage before and after the afternoon acts. The evening concerts begin at 7:30 pm. A total of 19 acts will grace the Green Apple stage. Snacks will be sold by the Friends of Mosquito Hill. For further questions, contact Mosquito Hill Nature Center at (920)779-6433.

Green Apple also sponsors year-round Sunday afternoon jams at Harmony Café, 233 E. College Avenue, Appleton, from 2-4 pm. You’ll find all skill levels at the jams and everyone is welcome to drop by for part of the time or stay for the full two hours. Music styles vary from bluegrass, old-time country, folk, blues, contemporary, etc. The musicians take turns suggesting and playing a tune while everyone jams along. The sessions are free but participants are welcome to purchase a beverage from the food and drink offerings at Harmony. What a wonderful way to spend a Sunday afternoon!
