Did You Know? Program Volunteers Are Appreciated!

APL Program volunteers are gratefully appreciated and they are extremely dedicated to offering assistance at our Thursday Movie series, Music @ the Library concerts and special events. They make sure there is enough popcorn and water at our feature films, greet program attendees, and take attendance, but best of all they get to watch some fantastic movies and listen to talented musicians! As we approach the end of another busy year I want to take a moment to give special recognition to Howard Porter, the Friends of Appleton Public Library Program committee chair. Howard meets quarterly with the Adult Program staff and the Program committee to review upcoming programs and make suggestions for new programs. Howard is a long-time advocate for our Library. Thank you to the entire FOAL Program committee: Howard Porter, Peter Bartman, Kay Odegaard, Sharrie Robinson, Meredith Schoenfeld, and Jennifer Sims.

A big shout out goes to volunteers who have assisted me at forty-six programs during 2012. I’ve included the number of programs: Meredith Schoenfeld (17), Jane Rohde (6), Nicole DeMario (6), Mary Kay Reed (5), Sharon Bartman (3), Jennifer Sims (3), Vicki Schilleman (2), Peter Bartman (1), LeRoy Hering (1), Molly VanAtta (1), Kathleen Gehrke (1)

About half of these volunteers are new to the team. My sincere thanks to all of you!
