Passport to Nature
Catch a crayfish! Be a nature detective! Discover many nature trails all around the Fox Cities! These are just some of the many activities awaiting you this summer! Passport to Nature is a cool Fox Cities summer program which gives children and families incentives to get out and explore the area outdoors. Visit one of the many local Nature Centers, (1000 Islands Environmental Center, Apple Creek YMCA/Purdy Nature Preserve, Bubolz Nature Preserve, Heckrodt Wetland Reserve, or High Cliff State Park), and receive a Passport to Nature keychain starter kit, which includes all the materials needed to make your very own Passport to Nature keychain! Pick up a “shrinkydink” tag for your keychain right here at the Appleton Public Library! Passport to Nature is for children of all ages, and runs from Memorial Day to Labor Day. For more information, and more ideas for activities and nature experiences, check out the Passport to Nature website and Passport to Nature Facebook page.
