Librarian - Young Adult ServicesThe Appleton Public Library is currently hiring for the position of Librarian – Young Adult Services. This is a benefited exempt professional position in the Community Partnerships Section of the library. Work involves providing reference and readers advisory service to patrons at the adult public service desks; coordinating the provision of library services to young adults, including working with a teen advisory board, promoting young adult services, implementing young adult programming, planning and implementing the summer library program for young adults, implementing the library instruction program for school groups and adults, as well as working as a member of the Community Partnerships section team.
Work is performed under the general supervision of the Community Partnerships Supervisor. Some evening and weekend work may be required. This position requires some experience in public library Reference service and a Masters Degree in Library Science, or any equivalent combination of experience and training. Regular attendance is required. Salary: Starting salary is $45,364 to $54,433 (or $21.81 - $26.17 hourly), plus an excellent fringe benefit package. Closing Date: Sunday, June 2, 2013 - 11:59pm |
