Award Winning Books Read-a-thon

January 24 | 9:30 am - 12:00 pm

In preparation for the American Library Association book awards to be announced February 2, we present this opportunity to meet some of the best picture books and novels of 2014! Listen to stories read aloud or read the books to yourself silently. Make observations about which books you think will win the Caldecott and Newbery awards! For every 30 minutes of participation, you’ll receive an entry for a $25 amazon.com gift card. You do not need to be present to win.

Tween Scenes for Winter/Spring 2015

Tween Scenes are back for the Winter/Spring 2015 semester!

Build, explore and create with Tween Scenes for 3rd through 6th graders on the third Thursday of the month from 4:00-5:00 pm! Registration is required. To register, visit the APL Events Calendar or call Children's Services at 920-832-6187.

Making Waves – February 19: Construct your own wave machine and discover the basic properties of waves.

It’s All About the Art – 3D It! - March 19: Have you ever seen a 3D movie? Create your own 3D art and glasses.

Old News – April 16: Design and build chairs, tables, forts and more with recycled newspapers!

*Tween Scene Extra: Feel the Beat - Saturday, Feburary 21 from 2:30-3:30pm: Not musical? No problem. Come explore Indonesian Culture with Monkey Chants, Rhythm and Drumming. Instruments will be provided so just bring yourself. Registration is requested. Drop-ins welcome.
