This is a quiet, self-guided / self-discovery digital media lab for ages 12+. Staff will not be able to assist you with media lab software. These computers are for creating media projects & are not for web browsing.*
Leave an official photo ID with staff at the Reference Desk to gain access. Middle-school = school ID.
No more than 2 people at a large table & 1 person at a small table. You must be working on a computer to sit at a computer. A total of 10 people may be in the lab at one time. You may not rearrange furniture without staff approval & assistance.
Silence your ringers. Cell phones may only be used on the Library’s first & lower levels.
Pay for printing at the Reference Desk. Prices per page of toner-application depends on the physical dimensions of your print job. The Library provides 4x6, 8.5x11, 13x19.
The copyright law of the United States governs making reproductions of copyrighted materials (Title 17, U.S. Code). The person using the printer is liable for any infringement.
This digital media creation lab was funded with a grant. *In accordance with grant guidelines for the lab, we have BLOCKED gaming sites, social networking sites, dating sites, and Craigslist.
Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction's Division for Libraries and Technology managed the funds through a Library Services and Technology Act (LSTA) Grant.
