  1. Cookie Club

    Registration is required.

    Visit the Library and check out or read a book four times between April 21 and May 31 and receive a stamp on your official Cookie Club card. You must sign up at the Library to receive a card, and can receive your first stamp when you sign up. After you collect your four stamps, you can bring your completed card to Great Harvest Bread Co. on Northland Ave. for a free cookie! The Cookie Club is for children in grade 6 and younger. The Cookie Club card will expire on June 30, 2014. Thank you to Great Harvest Bread Company for sponsoring the Cookie Club!

    Explore the fields of Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Mathematics through hands on activities and experiments. Each program will excite the imagination and curiosity of future scientists, artists and mathematicians. While geared toward preschoolers, siblings are always welcome to attend.

  3. Every Child Ready to Read

    "Talk, Sing, Read, Write, Play -- Everyday!" This handout provides early literacy guidelines for you to use with your children. Every Child Ready to Read is not a program at the library, but a resource describing the importance of talking, singing, reading, writing, and playing with your child at different developmental levels.

  4. Ready to Read: Play and Learn

    Help your child develop pre-reading skills, social skills and confidence through interactive, play-centered learning. Each week we will explore a different theme through sensory activities, dramatic play, crafts, books, games and fun! Siblings welcome.

  5. 1,000 Books Before Kindergarten

    Registration is required.
    Registration Details: 

    Register below, then print out a reading log.  You cannot earn prizes unless you are registered.

     

    Pick up your sheets at the Children's Service Desk or print them from our webpage. Redeem each sheet of 100 books at the Children's Service Desk for a small prize. When you redeem the last sheet, for books 900-1,000, you'll receive another prize and a certificate for finishing. We will check registration before handing out the last prize and certificate.

  7. Storyvine

     Join Children's Services Staff for a program for children, families and childcare providers. Come for stories, music and movement, fingerplays, and an occasional short animated story or puppet play. While geared towards childcare providers, families are always welcome to attend.  No registration required.  There is no program on July 2.
