Kindergarten students read books from multiple sections of the library - picture books, non-fiction, graphic novels, and more! Students may read to themselves, read to someone else (including pets or stuffed animals), or listen to someone read to them, or an audiobook. The goal is to read all 100 books on the two booklists in any order.
When the books have all been read and marked on your reading log, you may show it to library staff to receive an assortment of small incentive prizes. Register and pick-up your reading lists at the Children’s Services Desk or online. Print TWO lists. If you have questions call Ellen, the school-age librarian, at 920-832-6020 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.

First, second and third grade students are invited to blast off into the reading atmosphere with some of the best books the library has to offer! Students may read to themselves, read to someone else (including pets or stuffed animals), or listen to someone read to them. The goal is to read 12 books during this time period if you’re in first or second grade and six books if you’re in third grade, then write or dictate a book review for each book. Of these books, at least half should be from the library’s booklists.
While you may choose books from any of the lists, you should be choosing books written at your reading level. Please be sure to include your full name and phone number on every review. Reviews must be turned in all at the same time. Every review will be read by the children’s librarian.
