Book Packs
What is a Book Pack?
- Book Packs are collections of 15-30 children's books, chosen by library staff and checked out to you.
Who can have a Book Pack?
- Anyone who loves children's books. You can request one for your family, your classroom or even yourself!
How do I get a Book Pack?
- To request a Book Pack please fill out this form. When your pack has been assembled, you will receive an email with pick up instructions. Packs will be held for 7 days.
What else do I need to know?
- We require at least one week to assemble a Book Pack. One Book Pack may be requested per week.
- You may include one to three topics per request and we will put a total of 15-30 books in your Book Pack.
- We will gather packs of materials in a subject area or by a specific author. You may still place holds for individual titles.
- We can only put Appleton items in your Book Pack. Staff are happy to work with you to place holds on items from other libraries. You may contact a children's librarian through this form.
- We may substitute similar subjects or authors if availability is limited at the time of your request.
- The library loan period is 4 weeks for books/audiobooks, 1 week for movies/games and 2 weeks for music CDs. Items can be renewed twice unless items are on hold for other patrons. All materials are subject to the normal fine policy.
