Friends reaches campaign milestone with the help of the community

Book stack - Friends have raised 92% of their campaign goal

We have exciting news. As part of their Building Beyond Words Campaign, Friends of Appleton Public Library have raised $11 million for the new library. That’s 92% of their capital campaign goal!

Recently, community philanthropist Mary Beth Nienhaus, provided a $500,000 matching gift challenge. The challenge has been successfully completed.

“I believe the Appleton Public Library is vital in providing education and resources to the community,” said Nienhaus. “The new library will focus on children, an area that I care deeply about, and I’m excited to see its positive impact on future generations.”

We’d like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Mary Beth and all those who have donated. Your contribution makes a difference in creating a modernized hub for our community.

“The community’s incredible support to turn our vision of a new library into reality has been phenomenal,” said Mike Van Asten, Campaign Chair. “We are almost at the finish line. We are asking the community to help us in the final stretch to create a library that will stand as a beacon of knowledge, connection, and growth for generations to come.”
