Library Board
The library board of trustees oversee the Appleton Public Library in accordance with Chapter 43 of the Wisconsin Statutes. Trustees serve staggered three-year terms and are primarily appointed by the City of Appleton Mayor with Common Council approval, including one alderperson, with additional representatives appointed by the school district and Outagamie County.
The library board protects and advances the interests of the broader community by effectively governing the operations and promoting the development of the library.
