Library Network Services Supervisor

This is a professional staff position responsible for management and administration of the Library's local area network (LAN). Work includes management of multiple servers, switches, and wireless access points; maintenance, repairs and upgrades to hardware and software; support of over 120 workstations and network devices for library staff and the general public; collaboration with technical staff serving the OWLS wide area network consortium of 52 Northeast Wisconsin libraries; help desk support for staff and occasionally for patrons; evaluation, integration and support of appropriate technologies for library services; participation in decision making regarding technological solutions. Work is performed under the general supervision of the Assistant Director. (Some evenings and weekends may be required.)
