Winners of the Launch Pad: Teen Pitch Competition
On January 31, six student entrepreneurs, grades 6 through 12, presented their product and service ideas to a panel of local business and community leaders. The top three presentations were awarded cash prizes. Funds for this event were provided by the American Library Association’s Libraries Build Business Grant.
The reaction of the participants and their families, as well as feedback from the panel and volunteers, highlights the importance of this event. The students supported and listened to one another during the competition and shared tips and challenges they individually faced. All participating teens received written feedback from each of the five panelists, providing a beneficial experience for all involved.
Each teen did a wonderful job, with unique presentations, thoughtfulness, and passion—a truly inspiring experience. Congratulations to the winners and we look forward to seeing their future success!
